A community choir open to anyone who loves to sing, no audition and no experience required. Founded by Cliff van Tonder — who spent forty years building community choirs in Johannesburg and Surrey, England, including Surrey Music, a registered UK charity — Overberg Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at De Wet Hall in Onrus, singing everything from pop, rock and musicals to African songs and Christmas carols. Every net rand raised from concerts and performances goes to a local Overberg charity chosen by the members. Free to join for the first five months (September to December 2026), then a small monthly membership fee from January 2027.
