⚠️ WEATHER ALERT: COLD, WET & WINDY CONDITIONS ❄️🌧️

📍 Affected areas: Western & Northern Cape.
A cut-off low is expected to affect the Western Cape and Northern Cape from Thursday, 3 September 2026, into Friday, 4 September 2026, leading to the following conditions:
🥶 Very cold, wet and windy conditions, with maximum temperatures below 10°C in high-lying areas.
🌧️ Disruptive rainfall, which may lead to possible localised flooding, particularly in the south-eastern parts of the Western Cape.
💨 Damaging interior winds, as well as gale-force winds along the south-west and south coast.
🌊 Damaging waves, reaching between 4.5 and 5.5 metres in places.
Residents, as well as small stock farmers, are urged to remain vigilant, take the necessary precautions for the expected adverse conditions, and regularly monitor weather updates.
