New service provider appointed for E-mail distribution of municipal accounts

Overstrand Municipality has appointed a new service provider for the distribution of municipal accounts via e-mail.
The August 2026 municipal statements are being distributed from today onwards and will be sent from overstrand@docview.co.za instead of the previous sender address. To ensure uninterrupted delivery of accounts, residents are encouraged to add overstrand@docview.co.za to their safe or approved sender list, where applicable.
As with any new system implementation, some technical challenges may occur during the initial rollout phase. The Municipality is closely monitoring the distribution process and will address any issues that may arise.
Residents are also encouraged to check their spam, junk or trash folders regularly, as e-mail service providers may sometimes filter municipal correspondence into these folders.
If you have not received your municipal account by the 10th of the month, please contact the Finance Department at enquiries@overstrand.gov.za or log a service request via the Citizen App. When making an enquiry, residents are requested to include their municipal account number for reference. Those with multiple municipal accounts may include all relevant account numbers in a single e-mail.
Please note that, in accordance with the Municipality's Service Charter, Finance Department enquiries may take up to 10 working days to resolve. Residents are therefore requested to allow sufficient time for a response.
Residents who do not have access to e-mail can choose to receive their monthly accounts via MMS, which includes a web link to their statement, or via SMS, displaying their account balance only.

Edward Jantjies, Overstrand Acting Municipal Manager
