FynArts is mapping its future after a strategic workshop highlighted the need for stronger financial stability, broader audiences and year-round engagement.
Priorities include appointing a festival director and fundraising specialist, attracting younger and more diverse participants, expanding marketing, and securing multi-year sponsorships. With 80% of this year’s attendees being locals and 67% over 66, organisers want to reposition Hermanus as an off-season arts destination.
A mini-event, Makers and Masters, is planned for November to build momentum throughout the year ahead.
