DOGBOX PROJECT | WHALE COAST MALL

Whale Coast Mall, in collaboration with The Dogbox Project held their annual Dogbox Project at the mall on 12 September 2026 and once again this was a resounding success.
Whale Coast Mall partnered with the project for the fifth consecutive year and 40 kennels were painted, decorated and then donated to HAWS (Hermanus Animal Welfare Society), KAWS (Kleinmond Animal Welfare Society), BARC (Gansbaai Animal Welfare Society) and Wags n Whiskers.
Teams of two enrolled for the day and painted the kennels with paint and brushes provided by Paintsmiths Hermanus and much fun was had by all participating
We would like to thank the following amazing sponsors for their assistance on the day:
*Absolute Pets: One of our mainline sponsors who sponsored water bowls and blankets for our kennels, and a prize for the best painted kennels . Team Absolute Pets also had a fantastic artist painting a kennel in aid of the shelters.
*Eber Vet: Our other mainline sponsor who donated pet food and amazing dog treats. Their teams also did a fantastic job with the kennels that they painted.
* Paintsmiths Hermanus: Sponsored paint and paintbrushes, as well as manning a station to facilitate the process.
* The Crazy Store: Sponsored vouchers for our animal welfare organizations
* Petshop Science Whale Coast Mall: Sponsored a huge bag of dogfood for every kennel and pup.
*Splendid Logistics for delivering the kennels safely to the Whale Coast Mall
* King Pie who sponsored three kennels to amazing students from Hermanus High School and also provided the students with something to eat and drink on the day.
*Seeff Properties for sponsoring rubbish bins for the day.
