Windsor Hotel & Apartments is a cliff-edge hotel on Marine Drive with panoramic Walker Bay views, family-owned and now in its third generation of the Clark-Brown family. The building dates to 1896, originally built as a TB recuperation retreat capitalising on Hermanus's clean sea air, and has changed hands and names several times since — becoming The Windsor Hotel in 1931 — before Basil Clark-Brown bought and restored it in 1980, adding a three-storey, 54-unit East Wing. His son Garth has owned it since 1996, added a 10-room courtyard annex in 2005, and fully renovated the hotel 2017-2019.

Room types run from Sea Facing and Non Sea Facing Rooms to Annex Rooms and 2-3 bedroom apartments, with two conference venues (the Whale Room, up to 80, and the Dolphin Room, up to 25), free WiFi and parking. The hotel supports whale research via an "adopted" Southern Right Whale, Maggi, with the Mammal Research Institute Whale Unit. Nominated for the Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards 2026.
