Walker Bay Modern Art
A heritage-building contemporary art gallery anchoring Hermanus's Main Road
Established in 2015, Walker Bay Modern Art occupies a 350m² heritage Overberg-style building on Main Road in Hermanus, laid out across six distinct exhibition spaces around a central courtyard that also houses "The Gallery Café." It shows a mix of established and up-and-coming South African artists across paintings, sculpture, high-quality prints and Ardmore ceramics, and is a regular stop on the First Friday Art Walk. Distinct from the separately-run "Walker Bay Art Gallery" elsewhere in town, despite the similar name.
