Lembu Gallery & Studio
Harbourside Hermanus gallery and studio for African art and craft
Closed Opens tomorrow at 09:30
Lembu Gallery & Studio occupies a century-old fisherman's cottage in Hermanus's Art Alley precinct near the Old Harbour. It was founded by Ian Macdonald and artist Ed Bredenkamp — best known for his "Red Elephants" paintings — after the pair relocated from Zimbabwe, and it doubles as Bredenkamp's working studio. Alongside his paintings, the space shows work by other Hermanus-based artists and stocks African crafts, ceramics, sculpture, basketware and hand-printed textiles.
