Hoy's Koppie
Short, easy climb to panoramic views over Walker Bay
Hoy's Koppie is a freestanding hill right in the centre of Hermanus, part of the wider Fernkloof Nature Reserve. A short, easy 1.2km walk leads to the top for panoramic views across Walker Bay and the town below — a popular sunrise and whale-watching spot. It's named after Sir William Hoy (1868–1930), a railways administrator who is buried at its summit alongside his wife, at his own request.
