Hermanus High School is a co-educational, dual-medium (English and Afrikaans) government high school in central Hermanus whose history traces back to 1868, with its first matric class in 1941. Led by principal Mr MJ Smuts, it follows the national CAPS curriculum toward the National Senior Certificate and fields a wide range of sports and cultural programmes — rugby, hockey, cricket, athletics, swimming, tennis, chess and netball alongside choir, debating, drama and visual arts.
