Fynbos Poles (Fynbos Logging) is a family-owned timber business founded in 2007 by Leon and Elana Le Grange, who started out clearing alien pine plantations in the Overberg before diversifying into sawmilling, Wendy houses and SABS-certified CCA-treated pole and dropper manufacturing. The Hermanus depot (opened 2013, alongside an earlier Bredasdorp depot) sells poles, laths and droppers, garden goods — stepping logs, edging, shavings, woodchips — and braai wood, serving builders, landscapers, wine farms and DIY customers. Now a second-generation family operation, the group also runs alien-clearing and fynbos rehabilitation projects.
