Davies Tidal Pool
Onrus's gathering place, also known as Mermaid's Pool
A large tidal pool on the rocks in front of the Onrus caravan park, built by David Jonathan Davies and known locally as Mermaid's Pool. A level, sandy bottom shelving gently, sheltered from the waves, which makes it one of the easiest pools on this coast for small children. As much a meeting place as a swimming spot: a coffee kiosk, outdoor exercise equipment and mosaic work around the edges.
